I had an awful day. But I'm not going to dwell on it too much. This post is about something else.
Today, two things have been released. One, is Jack's Mannequin's new album. GO BUY IT if you haven't already. The other, David Cook's new single, Light On, which was release onto iTunes. Make sure you buy that, too. Currently, David's song is at no. 33 on the iTunes chart. Lets get it all the way to the top.
And while on the topic of David Cook I'd like to share a story about how amazing Cook's fans are and how proud I am to call myself a Word Nerd. The song had only been released on the US iTunes store. For the first time in a very long time, I wanted to pay for the actual song so I could have it in good quality and support David. I couldn't. iTunes won't let me. Which upset me a great deal. When I posted on David-Cook.org asking if there was any other legal way to buy the song, fans jumped to my help, were ever so nice and helpful and in the end, one of them bought the song for me and would not let me pay her back. This has really touched me, the generosity of David's fans. Which makes perfect sense. These are people who donate thousands of dollars to cancer research and to David's brother, Adam Cook, to help pay his medical bills.
So I have decided that instead of paying the girl back for the song, I'm going to choose one of the charities David Cook fans have been supporting, and donate money to that on David's behalf. It's the very least I can do. Maybe I'll get me a new band to accompany my 11:11 A.M. one.
In other news, Survivor's 17th season was the first to air in HD, and the first to miss on blurring unwanted exposure. It's unlike the Survivor folks to miss things like this, especially since they're now working with HD footage. Oh well, we enjoyed it, and I'm sure so did Charlie.
