One small step...

Today, a small victory was noted. I got my 5 days off that were left from 2007. Which means, that along with the 1.5 days I have left from 2008, I'll have 6.5 days off to be taken together as a little vacation before my army release. Everybody say HELL YEAH!

The journey has been long and gruelling. It took about 3 weeks of my time and 10 years outta my life in annoyance. It was a war of attrition. Who's going to crack first? Me, or Helly, the goddamn whore who is responsible of human resources and management at the unit. Who will blink first? She cracked first, she blinked. And I noted a victory because after 3 weeks of mild-pressure slowly rising to levels that made her want to cry and commit suicide (I was all up for helping her), she finally caved and did something useful. Her one useful deed in life. Well done, Helly.

It all started when I decided to declare a war on Helly and her office buddy Daniel. I dug deep till I found all their little fuck ups. One of which was the fact my service was supposed to be cut short in one month and it wasn't, and she didn't notice nor did she care. This was the first battle. After noting that victory (my friend Bella sorted it out, Helly did nothing but get in the way), I went on to whining that I don't have a pre-release vacation so Bella suggested we dig deep and see if there were any days left, and she found 5.5 days in 2007 that were not properly transfered to 2008 for me. So 3 weeks of me hassling Helly like crap for this topic and others, and she finally cracked. 3 weeks of her calling numbers where she never got any answer didn't make her look for other numbers, other people to talk to... dumbass. Now we just need to cancel my day off from the 21st of June 2007 that was wrongly given to me, and I'm all set to not be in the army from July 31st till my release day. Which means 14 more "work days" at Yohalan and I'm all done with that craphole. Thank goodness. And the best thing about this pre-release vacation is that Lior is going to be at boot camp/course/whatever (that is to say, already army property and not at home), dad is gonna be spending most of his time at work as he normally does, and mother and Sharon are going to be abroad. So I'm gonna have the house all to myself. No one to bug me. Wooo.

PS: I finally watched "Back To The Future" for the first time ever. I LOVED IT! Downloaded Back To The Future 2 and I'm all pumped up and ready to go for a night of Marty and the Doc.
