Hectic
Life is hectic. Moving to a new apartment is hectic. Especially when this time, it's not a rented apartment but one you actually own. Well, the parental unit owns anyway. But I do my best to help and that makes things hectic. Also, moving in the summer is horrible. It's awful. When you're running around town in the flaming heat, you really wish you could live elsewhere. Like Iceland or something. It has the word "ice" in the name, it must be cool there. Cool as in cold, not awesome. Confusing, I know.
So I fled the army early today. Told the commanding unit that I am feeling bad, after I already went to the clinic. At the clinic, they didn't have a doctor's apointment for me, so they sent me away. Too many people faking illnesses so real sick people can't see a doctor. They should be ashamed of themselves. Oh wait, I was faking. Dang. Well, forget that.
After leaving at 11:30am, I met Shirley at the bus stop. Strange chain of events led her to leave her base, which is darn close to mine, to go to the Givatayim mall to duplicate some keys. So we went together. My sister joined us for lunch afterwards.
I got back home with every intention to get a nice nap. It was short-lived. At around 2:30pm, Dad came home after FINALLY getting the keys to our new apartment. He made so much noise I couldn't sleep. So I told my mum I'd call the phone and cable companies and sort out moving logistics. The cable company was easy, all I had to do is change our moving date to a day early. The phone company was not as simple. First, the moronic woman insisted I had to pay 100 shekels for each phone outlet in the house. I insisted it's not possible, the outlets are already there - already installed! Why does it cost 100 shekels to just move the phone line there? Not clear. When my mum called later, they took her more seriously and told her 100 shekels is for installing the actual outlet and not for just moving the phone line. MORONS! What? Just because I was calling on behalf of my parents they assumed I'm a little kid? I even told her I'm an adult, I'm 20 years old, and she still treated me like a goddamn child. She even told me that "this is the price and if you want, I can give you the number to our complaints department". How rude is that?! I'm a fucking costumer, lady, and I can change phone companies whenever I fucking want. Dipshit.
After that, I rushed to our new apartment so we can see where paint is needed (everywhere) and where repairs should be made. On my way over, I saw little sister Sharon coming back from her day at the water park, and dragged her along. Then, at 4:30pm, I rushed home, got money and rushed back out to the cosmetician and then to a quick visit at grandma's. On my way back, mum asked me to go to the mall and get film for her camera, because Lior has her high school graduation ceremony today and she needs to take pictures. So I did. And just now, she sent me running to get her something to drink cause she was thirsty and wanted something sweet and the only options we had are coca cola and water and she wanted neither. Turns out the store was closed. Oh well.
I'm exhausted. And this day is far from over. Dammit. This week is going to be a nightmare. It doesn't help that it's hot like hell.
